Canton's fifth annual Storytelling Festival returns to the Summit on the Park on Saturday, January 25, 2003. Canton Project ARTS sponsors this special event which features a family performance at 1 p.m. and an adult performance at 7:30 p.m.
This cultural program features the storytelling talents of Dan Keding, Barbara Jones-Clark and Laura Pershin.
Storytelling is an ancient art form that both entertains and educates, according to artistic coordinator Corinne Stavish. She adds that tellers engage audiences because they don't read, but give lively dramatic interpretations of folk and literary tales.
Tickets for the family performance are $3 each, and tickets for the adult performance are $5 each. Both can be purchased at the door or at the Summit front desk.
